Resumo

This research analyzes the relationship between the use of guided study digital platforms and the phenomenon of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) among Generation Z students, focusing on preparation for university entrance exams and public service exams. The objective is to provide insights to improve these platforms by considering their emotional and behavioral impacts. This is a descriptive-exploratory study with a quantitative approach, based on a survey applied to a non-probabilistic sample of 108 participants, mostly from the Federal District (Brazil). Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, empathy mapping, and cluster segmentation to identify usage patterns and user perceptions. The results reveal three distinct psychopedagogical profiles with varying levels of engagement and vulnerability to FOMO, which is closely linked to the lack of interactive and personalized features on the platforms. The main challenges reported by students include difficulty concentrating, poor self-management, and emotional overload. The research highlights the importance of educational solutions that promote personalized learning, performance monitoring, and emotional regulation support. Additionally, it contributes to the fields of educational psychology and digital marketing by providing empirical evidence on how FOMO influences the study habits of Generation Z students.
